A warm and friendly welcome awaits guests at Chelsea Lodge, 48 Meriden Road, in the historic village of Hampton-in-Arden and is so conveniently situated for the Birmingham NEC or National Exhibition Centre which is only 3 miles away. If you are visiting the NEC it is unlikely that you will find a more handy place to stay, yet with an assured quality and in a village environment, together with a reasonable price.
Hampton-in-Arden railway station is within a 5 minute walk and from there it is a 3 minute journey directly into Birmingham International Railway Station from where you can walk straight into the NEC (under cover) or take the Skyrail connection into the terminal at Birmingham Airport. So once you join the train at Hampton-in-Arden you don't need to go outside again before reaching either of the above destinations.
Alternatively if you are travelling to Birmingham city centre the train journey is 15 minutes, there are two trains an hour with an hourly Sunday service.
Solihull town centre is only a 10 minute drive away.
Chelsea Lodge is a spacious detached property tucked away from the road and being set in delightful mature gardens.
There is full double glazing and central heating, together with ample car parking. on the large driveway area and small vans are not a problem either.
The classification of 4 stars by the Visit England Tourism Council Inspector, together with the Silver Award confirms the high standard of accommodation and facilities which are available. Indeed there are few bed and breakfast or guest houses with such a high classification in the NEC, Solihull and Birmingham area.
Comfort, warmth and cleanliness is a priority and all bedrooms have en-suite shower and w.c., and the new superior room has a separate bath too! The rooms which are cosy and warm, are attractively decorated with co-ordinated furnishings; a digital television and hospitality tray are provided for your convenience. WiFi internet access available.
A freshly cooked breakfast is served to you in the spacious dining room overlooking the garden, and special dietary requests can easily be provided with advance notice. There is no queuing or waiting to serve yourself buffet style here!
There are 3 eateries in the village - The White Lion which is the original village pub dating back several hundred years, The Beeches restaurant and bar, and Hampton Manor a nineteenth century hotel and restaurant, which is also becoming a popular wedding venue.
